A. Yes- you might be lucky enough to find the same item you want on eBay

EBay is a great auction site for many things but there are dangers when buying valuable and fragile items from an auction site such as eBay:-

• When you bid on eBay you have no certainty how much you are going to pay for the item or if you are going to win it at all. You may miss out on the item by a few pounds because of shill bidding, you may pay far too much than you needed to if an unscrupulous seller puts in a higher bid to ascertain your maximum bid price and then quickly withdraws his bid.
• Once you pay for the item by Pay-pal, personal cheque or Postal Order, your money is gone. You have in essence sent your money to a complete stranger in the hope that they will send you what you have paid for. If they don't send you your goods - as often happens - try getting your money back. EBay aren't interested and neither are the Police. Your only redress is an expensive claim against the individual in the small claims court ifyou have their correct address. Even if you win - the expenses will be much more than the cost of the item and the individual still may not pay you even with a court order to that effect.
• Ceramic figurines are VERY fragile. The chances are that a private individual may not have the expertise or motivation to correctly wrap your precious Beswick item(s) so it arrives intact. If your item arrives smashed to pieces what will you do? It is unlikely that the sender will offer a refund, often blaming the postal service. In our experience, a claim for compensation from Royal Mail is a soul destroying process which takes many weeks. We have NEVER heard of a successful claim for breakage . The standard 'get out' clause is that the package was inadequately wrapped.

Q. Will my items arrive safely?
A. YES THEY WILL.
First we apply a security tamper proof sticker to your item which protects both you and us from fraud. The label cannot be removed in one piece and re-applied to another item. Then we carefully wrap delicate items in foam, wrap them again in fine bubble wrap before placing them in sturdy boxes surrounded by fine polystyrene or corn chips. Then we wrap that box in bubble wrap and re-box the first box in a second box !!
Finally we seal the whole box with security tape and send it to you by FEDEX or FEDEX INTERNATIONAL couriers - - NOT by Royal Mail Special Delivery (UK) or International Special delivery as they have a terrible reputation for careless handling of fragile items.

• Also - don't forget that when you pay for your items with your credit card - they are automatically insured by your card issuer against loss/breakage until they arrive at your address.

A. YES- Our Stock is always changing as we sell existing items and acquire new ones. You can either keep checking our site each day or email us a specific request. We will source the item for you through our extensive network of other collectors and give you a firm price.

Q. Will you charge excessively for post and packing charges?
A. No - Never. The carriage charges represent the charge to us for FEDEX courier charges and packaging and not a penny more. The total carriage cost is quoted at the time of purchase.
